INSURANCE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Job brief
We are looking for an Insurance Sales Representative to join our insurance department and oversee our full-cycle recruiting.
Insurance Sales Representative calls and meets with clients and potential clients to grow their customer base. The Insurance Sales Representative goal is to get information about clients' needs and match them with insurance policies they offer and building strong customer relations.
Like Insurance Sales Representative you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities for insurance plans and overseeing a portfolio of clients. Also, you will be responsible for identifying risk management strategies, handling policy renewals, and tracking claims.
Responsibilities
- Research and source potential clients and build long-term relationships with them
- Persuade prospective clients to engage in a phone/video call conversation and/or meeting to discuss insurance products
- Advise clients on the insurance policies that best suit their needs
- Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients
- Deliver approved policies to new clients and explain benefits and risks of the policy
- Fill-out and submit applications, issue quotes, maintain client records and prepare reports
· Contact potential clients and create rapport by networking, cold calling, using referrals etc.
· Collect information from clients on their risk profiles in order to offer them the proper solution
- Fulfill all company-established policy obligations
- Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or relevant field
- 2-3 years of experience in insurance sales or similar role
- Proven experience as an Insurance Sales Representative
- In-depth knowledge of the different types of insurance plans
- Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills
· Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships
- Goal-oriented
- Must possess excellent oral/written communication, marketing, and presentation skills
- Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions
